Suzuki Method teacher training can begin with one of two courses:
Every Child Can!© (ECC!)
or
Filosofia
both courses are introductions to Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy and its application to Suzuki education.
For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, these courses provide an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning.
In addition to exploring the elements of the Suzuki approach and its far-reaching goals, both courses include the history of the development of Suzuki education, the role of parents, the importance of Suzuki pedagogical training, and an overview of the SAA’s role in supporting teachers and parents. ECC! includes video materials and SAA-developed courseware, and provides each participant with useful reference materials for later study. Filosofia includes more observation and analysis of individual lessons.
*Note: High-School graduation or equivalent and age 18 are requirements for taking ECC!, Filosofia, and all other Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Courses.

no prerequisites – this is the introductory course to Suzuki training for all instruments
PROCEDURE FOR SAA REGISTRATION FOR TEACHER TRAINING COURSES
Please allow enough time for these steps to be completed before the beginning of the first class.
- This is not an automated process – lists and registration are checked manually by volunteers. This may take several days. Do not wait until the last minute.
Step 1
- Go here: https://suzukiassociation.org/event/every-child-can-162/
- Follow the prompts to get your “ticket” for the course. This payment will cover the cost of the textbook and the fee to register the course with the SAA.
- This will put your name on the list of people who have up to date memberships in the SAA, have registered their intention to take the course, have the necessary pre-requisites, and want the course to appear on their training record with the SAA.
Step 2
- After we see your name appear on the course list, we will send you an email with links to pay the tuition fee
- After the tuition fee has been received, you will receive another email with class schedules and links for online classes and lesson observations.
If you require a formal receipt other than the one generated by your chosen payment method, email info@fluteplayer.ca with your request.
